Because of the increase in cases of COVID-19 in our area, we will NOT have the costume contest. We do not want to risk the safety of our kids. However, kids will have the chance to trunk or treat around the square.
We will be asking for TRUNK or TREATERS to set up on the square, as in the past, if you feel comfortable doing so. Please arrive at the square on October 31st between 2:30 and 3:30 pm, entering the square from the Dakota/Delaware corner, and use the inside parking spaces as usual. Please leave one or two empty parking spaces between each vehicle. We highly encourage all who attend this event to wear masks to protect yourself and others.
At 3:30, parents can drive their children around the square, OR kids can board the Chamber Neighborhood Trolley, which will carry the children around the square, stopping by each parked car to receive candy from that station. Children will stay in their car/trolley to receive their treats. Entry to the square will be the corner of Delaware and Dakota, as well as trolley drop off and pickup. This plan, we feel, provides additional safety in a not-so-traditional year.
