Our annual BBQ & Huckster’s Day is set for Saturday, September 7, 2019. If you’ve never heard of Huckster’s Day, this is our town’s annual fall festival featuring live music, great food, crafts and kids games. Mark your calendar and plan to bring your kids or grandkids, it’s great fun for all!
Vendor and BBQ team forms are available here and on our Facebook page. Remember, we’ve made some big changes to our BBQ competition, which is a people’s choice event this year. Here are the details:
- The winner will be chosen by Huckster’s Day attenders.
- Those who wish to be a people’s choice “judge” will purchase a $5 ticket, allowing them to sample all BBQ entries and vote for their favorite.
- BBQ Teams will compete in a meat-only competition using pork, chicken, beef or sausage, which may be cooked any way the BBQ Team chooses.
- First Place is $1,000, Second Place is $500 and Third Place is $250.
